The first four acts of Mrichchhakatika are virtually a copy of the corresponding acts from Bhasa's unfinished play Charudattam. While admittedly beautifully poetically written, can we please all agree that this is a pretty boring play, and that the super long monologues (although admittedly beautifully poetically written) made the plot(s) drag so much that we all lost interest about 10% of the way through?
